Hotel Icon’s New Environmentally-Friendly Amenity for Business Travellers

Make your way to Hong Kong’s Hotel Icon in style with the introduction of a new airport transfer service for busy business travellers to the Fragrant Harbour.

East Kowloon’s Hotel Icon is now offering an exclusive limousine service seven days a week in a top-of-the-line rear-wheel-drive Tesla Model S 85, a premium electric vehicle that delivers exhilarating performance with electric dual motors.

The new service is available for guest use, and is the easiest way to travel between the Hong Kong International Airport and Hotel Icon. Guests simply need to arrange the transfer at the time of reservation or get in touch with the hotel’s concierge. For business travellers arriving in Hong Kong, the service offers quick, hassle-free travel between the airport and the hotel, and minimal impact on the environment.

“We are pleased to introduce a new limousine service that is a treat for both our guests and the environment,” said Hotel Icon’s general manager, Richard Hatter. “The Tesla Model S is equipped with the most current amenities and communications. Guests can relax and enjoy world-class comfort while travelling.”

California-based Tesla built the world’s first electric premium sedan, the Model S, with a range of 265 miles on a single charge. With a rigid body structure, nearly 50/50 weight distribution, and a remarkably low centre of gravity, the Model S offers the responsiveness and agility expected from the world’s best sports car with the ride quality of a luxury performance sedan. Hotel Icon’s Model S 85 accelerates from 1-100 in just 5.6 seconds.

As well as the Tesla limousine, the hotel purchased its first zero-emissions car, a BMW i3. Later this year, the hotel will also launch an electric shuttle bus service to support environmental transportation.
