Hong Kong’s Plateau Spa Targets Business Travellers

The Plateau Spa at the Grand Hyatt Hong Kong has introduced new wellness experiences specifically designed for time-pressed business travellers who are always on the road.

Developed under the tenets of ‘Fitness, Relaxation, Aesthetics and the Culinary’, the centrepiece of the new offerings – and one that will be particularly useful for executive travellers who like to pack light – is the new “Your Wellbeing is Our Business” program. Provided in partnership with Kit Concierge, a high-performance, complimentary activewear program, guests will now be able to reserve workout gear before their arrive; the gear will be prepared and delivered to guest rooms on arrival. The program means travellers have access to a range of activewear, including specialist fitness apparel to footwear.revamped fitness studio, which now features and extensive new range of Life Fitness exercise equipment and classes.

The Plateau Spa gym has also undergone a total revamp, and has been designed with a range of functional training spaces, which includes specialised zones for free weights, strength training, abdominal exercises and stretching. The cardiovascular area boasts outdoor garden views, bringing a serene experience to sweat sessions. All cardio equipment also now feature 19-inch or 16-inch LCD touchscreen monitors with integrated TV, internet connectivity and mobile device connectivity, which allows guests to stay entertained while working out.With the array of new fittings, road warriors can now keep up with any type of fitness regiment they are used to.

The final touch, one that’s especially useful for jetlagged travellers, are the new yoga classes, which allows guests to take a gentler, motivational approach to exercise. The new Synrgy 360 allows allows for functional and high-intensity interval training sessions in a dedicated space.
