Hong Kong Airlines Adds Beijing Daxing Services

Hong Kong Airlines will operate a four-time weekly service to the Beijing Daxing International Airport from March 15, 2023.

The new service will make the Hong Kong Airlines the first Hong Kong local carrier to launch this route as well as to operate in both two international airports in Beijing.

Operating on Monday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday, the departing flight, HK308, will depart Hong Kong at 09.35 and arrive at 12.55. The return service, HK309, will depart Beijing Daxing at 13.55 and arrive in Hong Kong at 17.35.

Situated at the frontier between Beijing and Langfang, Hebei Province, Daxing Airport is the second international airport of Beijing along with Beijing Capital International Airport. There are currently four runways in service and the airport is an important hub connecting Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei areas.

Famous for its highly creative and impressive “Starfish” shape, the gigantic airport was designed by the architecture team of the late renowned female architect Zaha Hadid. The terminal building is designed in a radial shape to shorten transfer distances and thereby maximise the utilities of various parts of the airport.

Following the relaxation of travel restrictions in China and worldwide, more flights are set to be resumed to meet the increased demand for international transit traffic as well as local travel.
