New Perks for EVA Premium Travellers

EVA Air, Taiwan’s leading independent airline, has got 2019 off to a flying start by collaborating with top brands and chefs to launch new inflight amenities and cuisines. Partnerships with renowned fashion design Jason Wu, luxury brands Rimowa and Ferragamo, and Master Chef Huang Ching-Biao will see EVA Air’s Royal Laurel and Premium Laurel class passengers enjoy a new level of comfort and service.

Enhanced Dining

Enhancing EVA Air’s in-flight menus, Tan-style cuisine master chef Huang Ching-Biao has created a special menu for Royal Laurel Class passengers on selected flights. To create the inflight cuisine, Ching-Biao used ancient recipes in the aristocratic cuisine cooking style made popular in royal courts and enjoyed over the centuries by prime ministers and world leaders. Prepared with slow, traditional cooking techniques and the best ingredients, the in-flight dining experience begins with a pork shoulder slice wrapped around cucumber and Thai-style shrimp, followed by golden chicken soup with seafood in a rich, golden broth. The main course is braised abalone in oyster sauce, served with stir-fried rice and caramel olive. To finish, passengers are served an elegant concoction of Tan’s mashed taro and sweet potato in water chestnut sauce.

A Sweet Touch in the Air

Acclaimed Italian pastry chef Andrea Bonaffini of the popular Taipei patisserie Yellow Lemon has created four seasonal desserts exclusively for Royal Laurel and Premium Laurel Classes passengers. Starting this month, passengers can enjoy “Sexy Lady,” an irresistibly delicious pastry with rose petals, slightly tart and refreshing raspberries, lychee and chocolate. On the spring menu, EVA Air is offering an inventive delight named “Bianca,” followed in summer by “Coco Mango” and in autumn, by “Nocciola.” These delicious treats will be introduced to Royal Laurel and Premium Laurel Classes passengers flying from Taipei to Brisbane, Paris and Vienna as menus change seasonally.

EVA Air

Tea Time

Especially for Royal Laurel, Premium Laurel and Business Class passengers, EVA Air will serve a delightful new boarding refreshment, a gourmet treat with the first coffee and tea service and an after-dinner beverage befitting a connoisseur’s palate. As passengers settle into their seats, EVA Air will offer a cold-pressed mango and mixed fruit juice made from a blend of Taiwan’s exceptionally flavourful Irwin mangos, pleasingly tart passion fruit, tangy oranges and garden-fresh carrots.

For long-haul flights, EVA Air will present sweet delights from French boutique chocolatier Eclat de Valrhona with its first coffee and tea service in Royal Laurel and Premium Laurel classes. The rich, dark artisan chocolates are made from beans grown on the globally-acclaimed chocolatier’s own carefully cultivated plantations and consist of 61% premium cocoa. With its after-dinner tea and coffee service, EVA Air will be serving Crème Caramel Tea by Singapore’s luxurious TWG. Starting with a base of delicate South African red tea leaves, TWG adds seductively sweet French spices to create a satisfying drink that can be enjoyed as a dessert.

Luxury Amenity Kits

Working with luxury brands and Rimowa and Ferragamo, EVA Air has created new Royal Laurel and Premium Laurel long-haul overnight kits for 2019. EVA Air passengers departing from Taiwan will receive overnight kits in Rimowa‘s popular new Carmona Red, which contain CLARINS skincare essentials, a colour-coordinated eye mask, cosy socks, a hairbrush, earplugs, dental kit and microfibre cloth for cleaning glasses and electronic device screens.

EVA Air

Royal Laurel and Premium Laurel passengers travelling to Taipei with EVA Air will receive exclusive overnight kits by fashion house Salvatore Ferragamo. Inspired by ancient Taiwanese majolica tiles, the case is a harmonious blend of contemporary fashion and Taiwanese culture and is stocked with Salvatore Ferragamo lotion, hand cream and lip balm elegantly scented with the brand’s new Bianco di Carrara fragrance.

Designer PJs

Finally, EVA Air has chosen Jason Wu to create its 2019 sleepwear for long haul Royal Laurel and Premium Laurel passengers. Recognised for creating Michelle Obama’s dresses for both of her husband’s inaugurations, Wu designed EVA Air’s new PJs to deliver on both style and comfort.
