Etihad Airways will launch a third daily flight between Abu Dhabi and Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on December 10, allowing business travellers the chance to choose from greater schedule options.
“I am delighted to build on the success of our Jeddah flights,” says Kevin Knight, Etihad Airways’ chief strategy and planning officer. “This new service expands our operation to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and further strengthens the already strong historic relations and cultural ties between the two Arab states.”
The third daily service between Abu Dhabi and Jeddah will be operated with an Airbus A320 aircraft, configured with 16 recliner seats in Pearl Business class and 120 standard seats in Coral Economy class. The existing double daily flights are operated with a two-class Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.
Etihad Airways currently operates nine daily flights across Saudi Arabia, including Dammam, Riyadh, Jeddah, and Madinah. Recently, the carrier has expanded its presence in Saudi Arabia with a new five-times-per-week service between Riyadh and Abu Dhabi, operated by its codeshare partner flynas. www.etihad.com
