Perfect for business travellers dealing with in-the-air plans, Emirates has introduced its new Hold My Fare function.
The new initiative allows passengers to book flights, then retain their reservation for up to 48 hours with a nominal fee based on route or destination.
Customers authorise the reservation with a credit card, and are then able to confirm the booking within 48 hours; if they decide to go ahead, the nomial fee is put back on the credit card.
“With Hold My Faire, we are providing our customers added flexibility to firm up their travel plans at their own pace,” said Emirates executive vice president and CCO, Thierry Antinori. “Customers can finalise the details of their journey, organise accommodation with their travel companions or family with the peace of mind that their preferred flights won’t sell out and that they are guaranteed that their fares will not be affected.”
Customers can opt-in to the Hold My Fare feature on the online booking payment page. They will then recieve an email confirming the booking details, and telling them how long they have to confirm the reservation. www.emirates.com
