Emirates Reintroduces A380 on Dubai – Hong Kong Route

Emirates has resumed A380 operations to Hong Kong, the first airline to do so since the Covid-19 pandemic drastically reduced air travel last year.

The reintroduction of the superjumbo on the Dubai – Hong Kong route is designed to meet the demand of and to expand the travel options available to customers. The return of the Emirates A380 to Hong Kong also signifies the airline’s continued commitment to and confidence in the A380 programme, with the gradual resumption of its A380 network worldwide.

The Emirates A380 experience remains highly sought after by travellers for its spacious and comfortable cabins, and the airline is gradually expanding the deployment of this popular aircraft in line with demand and operational approvals.

The A380 Dubai – Hong Kong service departs Dubai at 2.50 am and arrives in Bangkok at 12.15 pm. It then continues on to Hong Kong at 2.15 pm, arriving in the Fragrant Harbour at 6.20 pm. The return flight departs Hong Kong at 9.30 pm and arrives in Bangkok at 11.45 pm, from where it departs at 1.45 am the next morning, arriving back in the UAE at 5.15 am.

Flights to and from Hong Kong will operate daily on Emirates’ three-class A380 aircraft, offering 14 First Class suites, 76 lie-flat seats in Business and 429 ergonomically-designed seats in Economy class. Travellers from Hong Kong can now connect to any destination on Emirates’ current network of over 90 destinations in the Americas, Europe, Africa, Middle East, and Asia Pacific via Dubai.

In addition, Emirates’ booking policies offer customers flexibility and confidence to plan their travel. Customers who purchase an Emirates ticket can enjoy generous rebooking terms and options in case of any travel plan changes. Customers have the option to change travel dates or extend ticket validity for up to two years.

All Emirates customers can also travel with confidence and peace of mind with the airline industry’s first, multi-risk travel insurance and Covid-19 cover. This cover is offered by Emirates on all tickets purchased on or from December 2020, at no cost to customers. In addition to the Covid-19 medical cover, the airline also provides provisions for personal accidents during travel, winter sports cover, loss of personal belongings, and trip disruptions due to unexpected air space closure, travel recommendations or advisories, similar to other multi-risk travel insurance products.
