Dorsett Hospitality International has opened its new luxury flagship hotel, Dorsett Kai Tak, on Hong Kong’s Kowloon Peninsula.

Part of the large redevelopment of the former Kai Tak airport and inspired by the tranquil elegance of cruises and superyachts (the former runway is now the city’s largest cruise terminal), Dorsett Kai Tak Hotel offers upscale living and spectacular views of Hong Kong’s iconic Victoria Harbour. In addition, the new hotel sits adjacent to the city’s new 50,000-seat stadium, home to all of Hong Kong’s major sporting events and concerts, state-of-the-art sports facilities, and new shopping and dining offerings. The new hotel is also only four MTR stops from bustling Tsim Sha Tsui and the Convention & Exhibition Center in Wan Chai.

Dorsett Kai Tak stands out as a leader in sustainability and innovation, having earned a prestigious BEAM Plus Gold Certification from the Hong Kong Green Building Council. The hotel incorporates over 30% greenery in its design to enhance cooling and reduce energy consumption, utilising a central seawater cooling system that is 30% more efficient than traditional air conditioning systems. Additionally, 40% of the parking spaces are equipped with electric vehicle chargers, and a paperless system to help minimise environmental impact.

The new 373-room Dorsett Hotel is well suited to business travellers and boasts 40 luxurious suites as well as 21 room and suite categories with outdoor balconies. Other rooms include Triple, Quad and a wide variety of interconnecting options. Dorsett Kai Tak also features two luxury suites: the Presidential Harbour View Pool Suite, which has its own 10-metre lap pool, and the Garden Penthouse Harbour View Two-Bedroom Suite.

Food and beverage options will include an all-day Spanish Sichuan restaurant, Siete Ocho, with an outdoor garden and four private rooms, as well as London’s trendy rooftop bar Jin Bo Law which will take up residence on the 15th floor of Dorsett Kai Tak.

Other hotel facilities will include an outdoor infinity pool with stunning harbour views; a 100 sqm fitness centre, and a double-height Grand Ballroom. Guests will enjoy cutting-edge technology, including service robots for seamless check-in and check-out, smart TVs with streaming capabilities and a cashless dining experience. Committed to community support, Dorsett Kai Tak partners with local eateries through the ‘Dorsett Discoveries’ program, offering guests complimentary dining vouchers.
