Crowne Plaza Changi Airport Increases Capacity

Crowne Plaza Changi Airport, a luxurious hotel at Singapore Changi International Airport, has increased its total capacity by more than 75 percent with the opening of a ten-floor extension. Designed by Singapore-based architectural firm WOHA, the extension features 243 Business Rooms and brings the hotel’s total capacity to 563 rooms.

There are two room categories in the new extension: Business King (28sqm) and Business Twin (38sqm). Both of them are smoke-free and feature Crowne Plaza’s signature Sleep Advantage kits to promote a restful stay. In-room amenities include spacious writing desks with Herman Miller ergonomic swivel chairs; mobile handy phones with complimentary unlimited local and IDD calls; en-suite free-standing rain showers and separate bathtubs; 40-inch smart LED televisions with Miracast and Airplay-enabled functions; and Klipsch Bluetooth-enabled speakers.

“We have enjoyed a successful partnership with OUE Group over the years, and by expanding the hotel’s capacity, we are in an even better position to support the growth of Changi Airport and to provide quality accommodation to over 17 million visitors expected in Singapore each year,” says Leanne Harwood, vice president of operations, InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), South East Asia and Korea.

The hotel is connected to Changi Airport Terminal 3 via an air-conditioned pathway providing seamless access to the departure hall and other airport terminals. Major business districts such as Changi Business Park, Singapore Expo and Changi Exhibition Centre are also close by, offering convenience for meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions. www.ihg.com
