China Airlines to Launch Taipei-London flight

China Airlines will launch nonstop flights between Taipei and London on December 1, 2017, offering another direct connection to the English capital.

The nonstop four times weekly service to London Gatwick Airport will be operated with the airline’s newest plane, Airbus A350-900 XWB, which also features the carrier’s state-of-the-art new business class product.

Flights will depart Taipei at 09:30 on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, to arrive in London at 15:30. On Fridays, flights will take off at 08:55 and will arrive in London at 14:55. Return flights take off every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday at 21:15 to land in Taipei at 18:30 the next day. All times local.

The new direct China Airlines London – Taipei service will take about 13 hours, cutting between three and seven hours of travel time for trips that make transit stops.

China Airlines will also increase its Taipei-Sydney service to twice daily from December, while its Taipei-Brisbane-Auckland service will increase from four times weekly to daily, offering business travellers in Australia and east Asia greater access as connectivity.
