Capella at Galaxy Macau has officially opened as the city’s newest ultra-luxury retreat, offering business travellers an exceptional blend of serenity, exclusivity, and personalised service within the vibrant Galaxy Macau integrated resort.
With just 95 suites and penthouses, this intimate property delivers a low-key count that prioritises privacy and a welcoming residential feel—ideal for executives seeking respite amid demanding schedules. Designed by renowned Paris-based studio Moinard Bétaille, the hotel creates a sophisticated ‘residential sanctuary’ inspired by global jungle motifs from fashion, featuring craftsmanship, vintage luxury accents, and a distinctive sense of calm elegance.
Guests are immersed in nature-inspired serenity from arrival: a forest-like canopy and dappled light mimic sunlight through a rainforest, transitioning from Macau’s energy into lush, private foliage. The lobby centres on the Tree of Life, framed by running water and illuminated by a three-metre multi-sensory LED artwork by Hong Kong artist Laura Cheung, which evolves with the day—complete with ambient jungle sounds, glowing fireflies, and shooting stars at night. Complementing this are custom tumbled glass sculptures by Lasvit and curated artworks, including Bruno Moinard’s abstracts and ceramic scholar’s rocks.
Service is elevated with 24-hour butler attention, in-suite check-in, and dedicated Capella Culturists who curate bespoke experiences—such as tea ceremonies, baijiu tastings, and cultural introductions in the cocooning Capella Living Room. Every stay includes complimentary minibars, premium teas, luxury bath amenities, pre-batched cocktails, and precision coffee from a Bugatti kettle and Illy machine.
Accommodation stands out as among the largest in Southern China. Suites start at 128 square metres with indoor relaxation pools and hand-finished jungle wall coverings. The standout penthouses—two- and four-bedroom options—feature expansive indoor-outdoor terraces, private infinity pools overlooking Hengqin island, wellness rooms, games areas, soundproofed media rooms, and bespoke details like woven horsehair door panelling for acoustic privacy. Four-bedroom penthouses span nearly 700 square metres, including winter gardens and family-friendly VIK rooms.
Dining appeals to discerning palates: Pony & Plume, a whisky and cocktail bar with over 650 rare bottlings and signature smoke-infused drinks; Botanica, a 48-seat restaurant by Executive Chef Stephen Hsu offering reimagined international classics with Asian flair in tropical surrounds; and, opening later in 2026, an independent fine-dining venue by Michelin-recognised chef Vicky Cheng, known for his modern French cuisine.
