New Luxury Hotel for Hanoi

Capella Hotels & Resorts will open the Bill Bensley-designed Capella Hanoi in the heart of the Vietnamese capital this December.

A celebration of opera, the 47-suite Capella Hanoi is located just steps away from the iconic Hanoi Opera House. Each of the boutique hotel’s suite has been individually designed to reveal tales of the mischievous opera society, told through over a thousand pieces of operatic memorabilia and
custom portraiture art by prolific artist Kate Spencer.

Guests can expect to find a curation of set designs, opera costumes and vintage tableware decorating the hotel, including its signature restaurant, Backstage, home to Vietnamese and international cuisine, as well as the sophisticated art-décor salon, Diva’s Lounge, which will serve 1920’s cocktails and Vietnamese-inspired tapas.

Located in a tranquil neighbourhood in Hanoi’s prestigious Hoàn Kiem quarter, Capella Hanoi has
been developed by Vietnamese real estate investors Sun Hospitality Group and offers business travellers a luxurious alternative at the heart of this vibrant city.

Capella Hanoi is a stone’s throw away from some of the city’s most impressive historic landmarks,
including the Temple of the Jade Mound and the French Quarter, with the Hanoi Opera House in its centre. Capella Culturists will be on hand at the hotel to orchestrate a unique Capella Curates programme that offers visitors a glimpse into the soul of Hanoi.

“We’re looking forward to joining forces with Sun Hospitality Group to help establish their vision in Vietnam’s capital by working together to introduce Capella Hanoi in the city’s most prestigious locale,” says Nicholas Clayton, CEO of Capella Hotel Group. “From Capella Hotels and Resorts’
perspective, it’s a fabulous opportunity for us to continue our growth, bringing Capella’s unique
offerings and cultural experiences as we establish a presence in Vietnam.”
