British Airways Reopens Lounge at Singapore’s Changi Airport

British Airways’ flagship lounge in Singapore has reopened,  marking an important milestone for the airline allowing business travellers to dine, help themselves to an extensive selection of beverages or shower before their flight.

The lounge is available for customers travelling in First, Club World, British Airways Executive Gold and Silver members and eligible Oneworld cardholders, ahead of their flight.

Located within the lounge is the airline’s bespoke area called ‘The Bar’. It embodies the finest in British design, style and art. A tasteful and secluded area exclusive to First customers, The Bar features the digital panoramic views of the Singapore skyline reflecting the time of day, to enable customers to connect to the time of day outside when travelling through time zones.

The main lounge offers an upgraded space to work, relax or dine. What’s more, the lounge is decorated with artwork from established Singaporean and British artists, including Simon Wee and Dr Brendan Neiland.

First opened in September 2015, British Airways’ Singapore lounge is located at Terminal 1 in Changi Airport.  The lounge can host up to 226 guests offering a modern lobby bar area for socialising, a brasserie dining area and office space with ample workstations with power outlets.

British Airways’ customers will be able to use the airline’s innovative digital app ‘Your Menu’ to order food directly from their mobile devices to their seats after scanning a QR code. The app will be available throughout the lounge and allows customers to choose from a wide range of complimentary food and drinks. There is also a buffet service for customers who want a lighter option and are looking to grab a quick bite before their flight.

“As entry restrictions continue to ease in the UK we know that greater numbers of customers are now expected to travel,” says Noella Ferns, British Airways’ Head of Sales for Asia Pacific. “Hence, we feel it is the right time to open our flagship lounge in Singapore. We want to ensure that our customers have the best experience while travelling with British Airways both on the ground and in the air. Our teams continue to innovate to provide an enhanced flying experience to all travellers. I do hope that they will enjoy the comfort of relaxing in our lounge before they travel.”
