Blacklane Expands In Asia-Pacific Region

A global professional driver service, Blacklane has expanded its network of English-speaking, commercially licensed, and insured professional drivers to 64 new cities across 12 Asia-Pacific countries, allowing business travellers the opportunity to enjoy a smoother journey when travelling around the cities.

Blacklane has hired staff in Singapore and will open a regional office in January as part of its commitment to the region. The company now serves more than 250 cities, 500 airports, and 50 countries.

Blacklane has also partnered with Asia Miles, the frequent flyer programme of Cathay Pacific and Cathay Dragon, allowing Asia Miles members to earn miles on Blacklane rides around the world.

“International visitors are flocking to the region while its booming middle class is exploring the world. Therefore, more and more travellers desire a single trusted driver service for their global travel,” says Jens Wohltorf, Blacklane’s CEO and co-founder. “A familiar and professional experience gives passengers and corporate travel managers peace of mind around the world.”

According to the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), 577 million inbound visitors arrived in the Asia-Pacific region last year, and forecasts predict an increase to 657 million inbound visitors in 2020.
