Wharf Hotels Launch New Biosecurity Protocols

Wharf Hotels has launched a series of new biosecurity protocols committed to the well-being of guests and staff at the group’s Niccolo Hotels and Marco Polo Hotels in Hong Kong SAR, mainland China, and the Philippines.

Wharf Hotels is the latest hotel brand to creating new measures to help maintain hygiene standards during the global covid-10 pandemic, with many major brands, including Kempinski and IHG, applying the new standards as early as May. The new biosecurity protocols ensure Wharf Hotels’ 17 properties implement upgraded health and hygiene standards in line with the World Travel & Tourism Council’s (WTTC) global protocols.

The biosecurity protocols include adapting the check-in experience to become paperless and digitised, and maintaining stewardship that provides all staff and team members with the knowledge, resources, and training needed to heighten and execute preventative measures to protect all guests and Associates.

“The whole world is on high alert,” says Thomas Salg, vice president Operations of Wharf Hotels. “We are working with multiple partners and organisations to ensure we adhere to globally recognised standards in order that we can stay focused on caring for our guests. By adding #SafeTravels to their stay, event or visit, their experiences are enriched and relaxed. That way, we can continue to provide the warm hospitality and personalised service that our guests recognise us for and have come to trust and appreciate.”
