Beef & Liberty to Open at HKIA

One of Hong Kong’s favourite burger joints, Beef & Liberty is preparing to open at Hong Kong International Airport, giving business travellers a refreshed take on airport dining.

Helmed by group executive chef Uwe Opocensky, Beef & Liberty entices guests with an ever-changing seasonal menu of hamburgers, bites, craft beers and milkshakes, and this April will open an outlet at HKIA‘s Terminal 1, with a raft of new flavours exclusive to the airport.

Located past the south departure entrance, the sprawling new Beef & Liberty will be a welcome addition to the restaurants and bars at this key aviation hub. Comfortably seating up to 120 travellers, Beef & Liberty will offer signature dishes, including the Bacon Cheeseburger, made with grass-fed Scottish beef, Dingley Dell English bacon, raclette cheese and caramelised onions; and the Notorious P.I.G, with braised Scottish pork and homemade BBQ sauce, crackling, and cabbage slaw, as well as new dishes inspired by the vibrant local culinary culture. These include the Hong Kong Milk Tea Crème Bruléeand a Macaroni Cheese breakfast sandwich inspired by the traditional local breakfast staple.

The new Beef & Liberty at Hong Kong International Airport will also feature a full craft beer and cocktail bar – one of the only bars at the airport – and will focus on solid, popular cocktails made from premium spirits and mixers. The bar’s signature offering, produced in partnership with Moonzen Brewery, a local craft beer brewery, is a fresh, low alcohol hopped lager, brewed with yuzu, coriander and lime that’s available only in the airport outlet. This unique beer will also be available from a self-service beer bar allowing travellers the opportunity to pour their own beer using an interactive touch screen linked to major international and local payment gateways.

“We are really excited to be bringing Beef & Liberty to Hong Kong’s international airport and to share our obsession for hamburgers and great hospitality with the wonderful diversity of people travelling through each year from around the globe,” says Will Bray, managing director of Beef & Liberty. “We are sure that more than a few of them will appreciate a great hamburger and a cold beer to refuel on their way to their next destination”.
