One of Hong Kong’s favourite burger joints, Chef Uwe Opocensky’s Beef & Liberty, has arrived at HKIA, the city’s international airport.
Seating up to 120 travellers, the sprawling new Beef & Liberty HKIA outlet will offer both beloved signature dishes and unique local twists to traditional Hong Kong dishes that are exclusive to this restaurant.
Discerning gourmands will discover burgers made from sustainably sourced meat and perfectly toasted buns. Signature classics on the menu include the iconic Bacon Cheeseburger, made with grass-fed Scottish beef, Dingley Dell English bacon, raclette cheese and caramelised onions; and the Notorious P.I.G., with braised Scottish pork in homemade BBQ sauce, crackling, and cabbage slaw.

As for the exclusive new items, Chef Uwe pays homage to traditional Hong Kong flavours with a number of unique dishes available on the Breakfast Menu, Main Menu and in the coming months, an Afternoon Tea Menu. Travellers will be able to try the Char Siu Burger, juicy and aromatic pork patty and char siu marinated pork belly, soya mayonnaise, spring onions, coriander and chilli deliciously sandwiched between perfectly cooked buns. For a seriously indulgent morning treat, order the Hong Kong Breakfast Toastie, the traditional Hong Kong-style breakfast with a twist, features macaroni, cheese and béchamel slathered between crispy thick-cut toast, topped with york ham and egg.
As for dessert, guests can enjoy an irresistible rendition of a local classic with the Milk Tea Crème Brûlée, a silky, smooth and aromatic dessert made with black tea, burnt cream and caramelised sugar. Vegetarian gourmands aren’t forgotten, as there is a variety of tasty options from the Leaves & Liberty collection to satisfy cravings.
Evoking the glamorous early years of aviation, this new Beef & Liberty outlet touts an impressive design ablaze with 60’s and 70’s elements. As one of the only bars at the airport, travellers can treat themselves to pre-flight pints at the elongated bar sectioned into a lounge and self-service beer table.

The bar’s signature offering is a partnership with Moonzen Brewery, a local Hong Kong craft beer brewery. Exclusively for Beef & Liberty’s airport venue, Moonzen has created Air Nimbus Draught Pale Ale, a fresh, low alcohol hopped lager, brewed with yuzu, a smash of ginger and a sprinkle of white coriander. Also available from a self-service beer bar, travellers can pour their own beer with an interactive touch screen linked to major international and local payment gateways.
