BA Launches New Look Lounge in Singapore

British Airways has unveiled its new-look lounge at Singapore Changi Airport, including a brand-new Concorde dining area. 

The British Airways lounge at Changi Airport has been refreshed to include an exclusive Concorde Dining area featuring locally inspired and British Original dishes, bespoke British-made furniture, locally influenced fabrics and furnishings and dedicated rest areas. The refresh is part of British Airways’ US$8.61bn transformation, which includes a programme of lounge improvements globally. Created for connecting travellers, this tranquil area offers an ideal space to rest and recharge between flights.

The lounge, which has been designed to celebrate British heritage and Singapore’s vibrant culture, offers seating for up to 226 guests, featuring a new Concorde Dining area exclusively for eligible customers, and office spaces with ample work areas and power outlets.

Access to the lounge is available to customers travelling in First and Club World (business class), as well as eligible loyalty programme members. The revamped lounge offers an elevated space to relax, dine, or refresh before their flight.

The lounge seamlessly blends British Airways’ rich heritage with the dynamic culture of Singapore. The interiors feature fabrics inspired by British heritage has been brought to life with furniture crafted by Boss Design and specially curated artwork from Louise Hill, an eminent designer based in Singapore, that pays homage to Singapore’s vibrant history. Redesigned with bespoke British-made furniture and curated artwork, this section includes individual pods for added privacy, improved seating arrangements, and upgraded ambient lighting, to create a warm and comfortable atmosphere for customers.

Formerly ‘The Bar,’ Concorde Dining is a transformed area that combines luxurious fabrics, ambient lighting and attentive table service for an elevated dining experience. The reimagined menu includes British favourites such as herb-crusted beef tenderloin and sticky toffee pudding, alongside locally inspired dishes such as cashew satay chicken and Lion Mane mushroom curry.

The airline’s drinks selection has also expanded, including the addition of three premium Champagnes from Joesph Perrier and Bollinger, with colleagues also receiving dedicated food and wine service training.

The refreshed Singapore lounge is part of British Airways’ wider transformation programme, which includes the introduction of brand-new cabin interiors, recently refreshed lounges in London, Washington and Lagos, and a new website and app. Further lounge refreshes, such as Seattle will take place later this year.
