Avani to Open Two New Australian Hotels

Seeing a chance to capitalise on Australia’s growing bileisure travel market, Avani Hotels and Resorts has opened a new Adelaide property and will soon open a second Melbourne residence.

Just opened this month, Avani Adelaide Residences features 76 studio apartments and suites, each fitted with a full kitchen and laundry, free wifi and private balconies. Guests will also be able to enjoy their off-duty hours at the onsite heated pool, cinema, library, gym, golf simulator, steam room and sauna, and a rooftop terrace with a barbecue and lounge. From its city-centre position, hotel guests will have easy access to the best of Adelaide, including Rundell Mall, Adelaide Central Markets, and the Adelaide Oval.

Further East, Avani Melbourne Box Hill Residences will offer a tranquil suburban setting with views of the Dandenong Ranges. The property is scheduled to open in late 2019 and will feature 75 one and two-bedroom guest suites, all of which come with separate lounges and bedrooms, a kitchen and laundry, and unlimited wifi. Guests can quickly be in the CBD for meetings thanks to the hotel’s great public transport links, while after hours, visitors can relax at the rooftop which features a heated infinity pool, sauna and views of the Box Hill Gardens. When hunger strikes, guests can choose from a wealth of dining options in the neighbourhood.

Craig Hooley, Chief Operating Officer of Minor Hotels & Resorts Australia and New Zealand, said, “We are delighted to see the continuing growth of the Avani brand in Australia and New Zealand with these new openings, which follow from our initial openings on the Gold Coast, and in Melbourne and Auckland.”

“Travellers the world over have responded to this fresh, modern brand with our upbeat service culture that is rooted in traditional Thai hospitality. We will continue to identify key locations to grow this exciting brand and bring a new level of service to the Australian and New Zealand landscape.”
