The Parklands Resort and Conference Centre in Putta Bucca, Australia has joined AccorHotels, and will undergo a refurbishment to bring it in-line with Mercure brand standards, followed by a rebranding as the Mercure Mudgee next year.
Surrounded by beautiful manicured gardens, the 68-room resort is a short drive from the centre of Mudgee, and features one of the largest and most well-equipped conference centres in the Central West region, providing corporates with a variety of venue options for meetings, conferences, exhibitions, special celebrations and outdoor events. The property’s five event spaces and the Mudgee Auditorium, which can host up to 1,200 people, feature natural lighting, wifi, split level staging, and advanced audiovisual equipment.

Leisure facilities at Parklands Resort and Conference Centre include a restaurant and bar, a fitness centre, an indoor pool and various tennis courts.
“Our move into the popular regional NSW town of Mudgee is backed by the growth of tourism in the area thanks to the many wineries and boutique providores that have really helped to put Mudgee on the map,” says Simon McGrath, chief operating officer of AccorHotels Pacific. “The Mercure brand has a strong history in Australia, particularly in regional town centres, and Mercure Mudgee will deliver an internationally recognised, midscale hotel offering which will help drive tourism to the area.”

The rebranding will see the resort join AccorHotels’ growing network of regional New South Wales properties, including Mercure Orange, ibis Styles Orange, and Mercure Tamworth.
