W Taipei Presents Wow-Tastic Menu

W Taipei has appointed acclaimed Hong Kong chef Wo Hoi Ming as executive chef of Yen Chinese restaurant, and has launched a new Wow-Tastic menu of nouvelle Cantonese cuisine that’s perfect for power lunches or business dinners.

With over 28 years of experience, chef Wo has worked in many renowned restaurants in Asia, including Lei Garden in Hong Kong, Rice Empire at Sands Cotai Central in Macau, Crystal Jade Golden Palace in Singapore and Thailand, Tai Thong restaurant in Malaysia, and Michelin one star restaurant Xian Tao at The Ritz-Carlton, Osaka in Japan.

“I’m excited about the Wow-Tastic menu by our chef Wo Hoi Ming,” says Vivian Lin, hotel manager of W Taipei. “The talented and experienced chef Wo has added wow factors to the new menu, with modern presentation onto the classical Cantonese cuisine. I believe chef Wo will bring an extraordinary dining experience to our Yen’s guests.”

The Wow-Tastic menu curated by chef Wo is a groundbreaking gourmet journey filled with surprises. The baked Australian abalone with Himalayan rock salt is a Yen’s exclusive dish which features a 500-gram fresh wild abalone sitting on an imported crystal pink rock salt. Other signature dishes include wok-fried Australian M9 Wagyu beef with Shiromaitake mushroom and Japanese green pepper; steamed mud crab claw and egg white with aged Huadiao wine; steamed Penghu lobster with egg white, ham and bird’s nest; and Cantonese style seared cod filet with crispy mushroom. www.wtaipei.com
