Vivanta by Taj Opens in Delhi

The Taj Group has opened its newest business property in the Indian capital. Vivanta by Taj – Dwarka, New Delhi is the 30th Vivanta by Taj hotel and seventh hotel for group in India’s National Capital Region. Strategically located with close proximity to the airport and the business district of Gurgaon, the hotel is a short drive away from the financial hub of Lutyens’ Delhi, making it ideal for business travellers.

“The Indian hospitality industry is at an interesting stage where demand is burgeoning across the country,” says Vivanta by Taj COO Veer Vijay Singh. “Vivanta by Taj is well poised to capture this growing demand with its broad set of offerings and its culture of service excellence. We are happy to bring the Vivanta by Taj hospitality to these new emerging hot spots like Dwarka.”

Contemporary in style, Vivanta by Taj – Dwarka’s architecture and interiors have been conceived by the Hong Kong-based RAD. The firm set out to re-define urbanism with its cutting edge architecture. Spanning seven acres, the hotel unfolds like an Origami. The unique theme running through the hotel is geometric patterns mirroring Indian motifs.

Vivanta by Taj – Dwarka, New Delhi features 250 spacious rooms including 17 uniquely designed suites and a luxurious Presidential Nirvana suite. The rooms are designed to look like modern day abodes with jagged angles in the roof and walls, complemented with geometric patterns on the carpet. Rooms and suites feature custoim built furniture, expansive work desks, dual-line telephones, 40-inch LED televisions, and a Rest Easy menu that combines a pillow menu with yoga and meditation, perfect after a long haul flight.

The hotel features more than 1,580sqm of flexible meeting and event facilities. The nine meeting rooms accommodate anything from discrete board meetings and small, intimate social occasions to elegant cocktail receptions, and stylish conferences. The high tech video-conferencing facilities, integrated digital audio systems and soundproofing ensure that every conference is special. The ballroom, with its twenty seven foot height, makes it the perfect venue for product launches and elegant social events, and opens onto landscaped lawns.

Vivanta by Taj – Dwarka, New Delhi also offers a range of authentic cuisines appealing to all tastes. Creo, the all-day dining restaurant, features an interactive kitchen offering multiple cuisines, ranging from Indian and Italian, to a Sushi bar and versatile Teppanyaki. The Indus Express offers pre-Independence Punjab dishes and the provincial five rivers’ cuisine with some of the classics of Pothovar, Rawalpindi, Amritsar, Khyber and Lahore, while Caramel – the Deli offers snacks, delicate hors d’oeuvres, an organic selection of teas and coffee along with bakery snacks and is ideal for impromptu meetings.
