Virgin Australia to Fly Daily between Melbourne and Hong Kong

Virgin Australia will increase flights between Melbourne and Hong Kong to daily return services from November 12, 2017, allowing for more flexibility and connections to destinations across Australia and China.

The new Virgin Australia Melbourne – Hong Kong flight, VA87, will depart Melbourne at 11:00 every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday, to arrive in Hong Kong at 17:35, while flight VA86 will leave Hong Kong at 19:50 the same days to arrive in Melbourne at 08:15 the next morning. On Sundays, outbound flights will take off at 11:30 to land in Hong Kong at 18:05; return legs will depart at 19:55 the same day to arrive in Hong Kong at 08:20 the next day. On Fridays, outbound flights will leave Melbourne at 12:40 to land at 19:15; inbound flights will take off at 20:45 the same day to arrive in Melbourne at 09:10 the next day.

Virgin Australia operates the Melbourne-Hong Kong route with an Airbus A330-200, which features The Business, named Best Business Class at the Airline Ratings’ Airline of the Year awards for 2017. The aircraft also features eight Economy X seats with additional legroom, premium check-in and boarding, preferred overhead locker space, guaranteed first meal choice, and premium noise-cancelling headsets.

“Our schedule is also conveniently timed, enabling guests travelling from Australia to arrive early evening in Hong Kong and those travelling from Hong Kong to arrive in Melbourne in the morning. It also enables travellers to connect easily to other destinations in Australia and China, through our partner Hong Kong Airlines,” says Sharp.
