Under the Spotlight: COMO Metropolitan Bangkok

Upon completion of a year-long renovation project, the COMO Metropolitan Bangkok has seen all its 169 rooms refurbished, offering business travellers newly-designed accommodation in the heart of the bustling Thai city.

Located in the central business district of Sathorn, with a shuttle bus service to the Silom BTS Station operating daily from 7.30 am to 9.30 pm, the COMO Metropolitan Bangkok is 10 minutes away from Silom’s buzzing nightlife scene and is easily reachable by Skytrain or MRT train networks.

After a year-long renovation, COMO Metropolitan Bangkok now offers business travellers newly-designed accommodation in the heart of the bustling Thai city.

The hotel includes interiors by Singaporean designer Kathryn Kng, who has combined influences from East and West to create a calm and relaxing ambience in all of the 169 rooms. Warm Thai Makha wood and oxidised-brass panelling is lit up by the natural light; unique artwork by painter Natee Utarit lends individuality to every space; room amenities featuring walk-in rainforest showers, smart TVs, and wireless Bose SoundTouch music systems; and mosaic-tile and limestone bathrooms complemented by COMO Shambhala amenities.

COMO Shambhala Urban Escape, the hotel’s wellness programme, now has sleek teak decking surrounding its 25-metre outdoor pool, and an updated gym containing state-of-the-art Life Fitness equipment. There are also new hydro-pools and steam rooms for effective post-workout recoveries, and a yoga studio offering five different types of yoga practice, perfect for business travellers to relax and recharge after a long day at work.

The hotel offers some of the most unique event venues in Bangkok, with a host of meeting spaces to choose from. The hotel’s two well-equipped meeting rooms, Ivory I and Ivory II, can be integrated into one larger space, while the Met Boadroom, which boasts a contemporary design and intimate environment, can hold up to 11 people for boardroom-style meetings and small-scale corporate events.
