Takumi by Daisuke Mori Launch New Menus

One Michelin-starred Takumi by Daisuke Mori, which was recently named in the 100 Top Tables in Hong Kong by the South China Morning Post, has launched new lunch menus that offer diners a bite-sized take on the restaurant’s acclaimed Japanese-French degustation.

Hidden away on Wan Chai’s Wood Road, and sequestered behind a subtle limestone façade that belies the restaurant’s luxurious interiors, this unique restaurant caters to only twelve guests at a time, offering business travellers a degustation experience that has its grounding in the intimacy of traditional Omakase. Here, the focus is on executive chef Daisuke Mori and the action of the restaurant’s show kitchen, where the culinary team adds a theatrical touch to the elegant setting.

Perfectly suited for intimate corporate entertaining, the new lunch menus capture the essence of chef Mori’s unique gastronomy and include the same luxurious, seasonal-driven ingredients used in the tasting menu during dinner service, but allow time-poor diners the chance to choose from the likes of snow crab balls in tomato consommé; Japanese snapper with Ichiban Dashi soup and yuzu; roasted Kumamoto pork loin with blackberry sauce; and one of Chef Mori’s signatures dish, Japanese Wagyu beef.

Available from Tuesday to Saturday, 12 pm to 2:30 pm, the three-course menu is priced at HK$480 and includes the choice of one appetizer and one main, followed by the “Amaou Strawberry”, a refreshing light citrus dessert with yuzu cream and coconut Melengee; while the four-course menu is priced at HK$880 and includes two appetizers, a choice of main – including Japanese Wagyu beef with Kintoki carrot puree and garlic confit. Black truffle can also be added to many of the delectable dishes at an added cost.
