SriLankan Airlines to Commence Direct Hong Kong-Colombo Service

SriLankan Airlines will start its direct flights between Hong Kong and Colombo, the business hub of Sri Lanka, from July 15, 2017, offering a wider choice and more convenience to its passengers.

The new service will provide five non-stop flights from Hong Kong to Colombo, connecting 48 countries and 101 destinations within SriLankan’s network, and over 1000 destinations via the oneworld alliance network.

Outbound flights to Colombo will depart every Thursday and Saturday at 02:00 to land at 04:50; while inbound flights will take off on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 18:15 to arrive Hong Kong at 21:05. All times local.

The Airline has identified APAC region as a prime component in its expansion strategy. The new Hong Kong-Colombo direct service is another progressive initiative launched by SriLankan Airlines focusing on the region, offering travellers to and from Hong Kong seamless travel experience to Middle Eastern destinations, including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Oman; Europe and North America via London; and the SAARC region’s main cities, including Male and Gan Island in the Maldives, Dhaka in Bangladesh, New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Trichy, Trivandrum, Kochi, Madurai, Kolkata, Varanasi, and Bodh Gaya in India.

SriLankan Airlines customers will be able to experience traditional Sri Lankan hospitality while enjoying an award-winning and world-class onboard experience, complete with the latest entertainment and delectable cuisine.
