SIA to Launch Corporate Programme

Singapore Airlines is set to launch an exclusive corporate frequent flyer programme later this year, catering to the many businesses who book with the airline. The airline is currently testing a new website, and plans to launch the new initiative once that is up and running.

“Our corporate frequent frlyer programme is being designed and we will launch later this year,” said Singapore Airline’s European vice president Subhas Menon. “There is no title for it yet, but we are progressively improving our website and when the time is right we will launch the new programme.

Singapore Airlines’ new loyalty scheme will likely follow the same model as other corporate frequent flyer programmes which allow small and medium sized enterprises to earn benefits from flights taken by their employees, in addition to the miles earned by the individual travellers.

The airline is a member of Star Alliance, but is not one of the network’s 11 members of its Partner Plus Benefit corporate programme, which includes airlines like Air Canada, All Nippon Airways, Lufthansa, Swiss and United.

The airline’s two individual loyalty schemes, KrisFlyer and Priority Passenger Scheme, will stand alongside the new corporate programme. www.singaporeairlines.com
