Shangri-La Hotel Opens in Xiamen, China

Shangri-La Hotel, Xiamen has soft opened on the southeast coast of China, offering business travellers luxury accommodation with easy access to the nearby corporate venues.

Situated in the Guanyin Shan Business Centre, the 22-storey hotel is less than a 10-minute drive to the Xiamen International Conference and Exhibition Centre, and is 20 minutes from the Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport.

The urban resort features Minnan-style architecture, which is often associated with the use of red bricks, to reflect Xiamen’s art and culture and complement the hotel’s design theme of a botanical paradise. Over 70 percent of the hotel’s 325 guestrooms and suites feature sweeping sea views, while the elegantly-styled Shangri-La Suite offers 168sqm of living space.

Dining options at the property include Café Amoy, an all-day-dining restaurant with show kitchens serving a blend of Asian and international fare throughout the day. Fu Gong, a harbour-inspired Chinese restaurant, offers authentic Cantonese and Minnan cuisine, as well as regional specialties; The Lobby Lounge serves local snacks and outdoor barbecues in the evening.

Shangri-La Hotel Xiamen has soft opened in China's southeast, offering business travellers new levels of luxury accommodation in the city.

Other facilities include a 1,500sqm pillar-less Grand Ballroom with an eight-metre-high ceiling and can accommodate up to 1,000 guests. Shangri-La Hotel, Xiamen is the only hotel in the city to feature an elevator that is large enough to transport automobiles directly to the ballroom. In addition to indoor and outdoor areas, nine other adaptable event spaces can host gatherings for 30 to 400 guests.

A 7,200sqm park, which is built and managed by the hotel for public use, sits adjacent to the hotel and comprises a jogging track, a walkway to the beach, an outdoor team building area, and generous space for outdoor events. An all-inclusive NX Fitness and Spa covering 3,000sqm of space offers an indoor heated swimming pool, a state-of-the-art gym, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, as well as beauty and massage treatments in the spa area.

Shangri-La Hotel, Xiamen will welcome guests in November 2017.
