Rimowa has partnered with Steiff, a German-based plush toy company, to launch an exclusive collection of Steiff Rimowa suitcases in early 2016, offering business travellers a chance to break with tradition when buying their new cases.

The new design of the Rimowa Classic Flight suitcase features a walking Steiff teddy bear and the “button in ear” trademark on its silver aluminium shell, along with a small, grey alpaca Steiff teddy bear hanging from its handle as a loyal travel companion. Things also get fluffy inside, with a grey alpaca lining – a signature material of the Steiff teddy.

The Cologne based suitcase manufacturer and the toy company from Giengen were both founded in Germany in the 19th century, and they use high quality materials in their production – the Steiff teddy bears are made from the finest, premium mohair, while the Rimowa suitcases boast top-notch aluminium and high-tech polycarbonate material.

The new suitcase comes in the practical cabin size 52cm, and it is limited to 1,050 pieces available in Rimowa stores worldwide. Additional 250 will be available in Steiff shops and in the Steiff Museum. www.rimowa.com
