Philippine Airlines Offers Limited Free Inflight Wifi

Philippine Airlines has launched a new complimentary wifi service for business travellers who wish to remain connected during the entire flight.

The airline will offer 30 minutes or 15 MB of free inflight internet connection, as well as 50 percent off the myPALWiFi upgrade plans. The new complimentary Philippine Airlines wifi allowance will give business travellers the opportunity to stay connected on short and long-haul flights.

Each Philippine Airlines subscription plan is tailored to suit the different usage needs of passengers. The basic package costs US$5 and includes 35MB of data usage while the US$20 plan includes 150MB.

“We are very proud to be the first airline in Asia to offer free wifi on board for all passengers traveling on international flights that are equipped with the service,” says PAL president and COO Jaime J. Bautista. “We continuously work towards addressing our passengers’ needs and have also come up with more affordable renewal price plans, and soon, access to high-speed internet even while flying at 30,000 feet.”

The service forms part of the airline’s customer-centric initiatives in line with its goal of becoming a five-star full-service national carrier of the Philippines.
