PAL to Introduce Non-Stop Manila-Auckland Flights

Philippine Airlines (PAL) will introduce a non-stop Manila-Auckland service beginning December 6, 2017, allowing business travellers another direct connection between the Philippine capital and the New Zealand city.

The non-stop Manila-Auckland flight PR218 will be operated thrice weekly, on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, departing Manila at 23:15, and arriving Auckland at 14:05 local time the next day. Flight PR219 will leave Auckland every Friday, Saturday and Tuesday, at 00:30 local time and touches down in Manila at 05:45.

The new product makes Philippine Airlines the only Philippine carrier to offer the quickest and most convenient flight option between Manila and Auckland. With the forthcoming non-stop service, travel time to Auckland will be reduced to 10 hours from the current 12.15-hour Manila-Auckland via Cairns route, which will be operated until December 5, 2017. PAL will be utilizing its twin-aisle dual-class 254-seater A340s from its single-aisle 156-seater A320s thus increasing capacity by 60 percent.

Passengers arriving in Manila from Auckland can connect to PAL’s domestic and international network, including its Manila-London service, and across Asia, North America, and the Middle East.
