Oakwood Apartments to Debut in Ho Chi Minh City

Oakwood is set to expand its portfolio in Asia Pacific with the opening of Oakwood Apartments Ho Chi Minh City in the last quarter of 2016, offering a home-away-from-home experience for business travellers looking for an extended stay in the largest city of Vietnam.

Oakwood Apartments Ho Chi Minh City will be situated in District 3, with museums, local coffee shops and eateries dotting the area. Inspired by Saigonese architecture from the 1950s to 1970s, the new property will offer 68 units, ranging from studios to one-and two-bedroom apartments, with facilities including a gym, a residents’ lounge, and a restaurant.

“This is an exciting year for Oakwood Asia Pacific as we celebrate key milestones such as the opening of our tenth property in Tokyo this August, as well as our expansion into new regions such as Australia, Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam,” says Dean Schreiber, managing director of Oakwood Asia Pacific Ltd. “Vietnam’s economy has been growing steadily with strong foreign direct investments. Oakwood Asia Pacific’s core business is in providing serviced apartments for business travellers, and this is a timely opportunity for us to debut in Vietnam coupled with the country’s advancing integration into both regional and global economies.” www.oakwood.com
