NOM Offers A New Tasting Menu

NOM, a traditional Italian cuisine provider in Central, Hong Kong, offers a new tasting menu that takes diners in the heart of the city on a culinary journey throughout Italy. Championing Italian regional produce at its best, the three-course meal is an ideal treat for business partners.

The famiglia-style dining experience is a generous menu of freshly baked pizzas, handmade pasta, and NOM’s signature meatballs. Diners can add a decadent dessert and wine pairings of old and new world wines, handpicked by the restaurant’s sommelier.

Starters include the rich, creamy burrata, sourced from a family farm in Southern Italy’s Puglia region, served with broad beans puree, smoked anchovies and bottarga (can be tweaked for vegetarians), and Black Angus beef tartare which uses premium beef from New Zealand or Australia, and is cut through with a tarte homemade tomato salsa, piccalilli and oven-baked crispy gruyere cheese.

Diners can dig into a playful offering of innovative creations of Italian meatballs, including the seafood balls, made with market-fresh clams and mussels, and served in a rich crustacean broth. The beef slider with a Wagyu beef patty, melted raclette and pickled eggplant is another not-to-be-missed item that is perfect for nibbling on while catching up with friends in NOM’s cosy, old-school interior.

The tasting menu mains include the squid ink tagliatelle, pasta handmade every morning and tossed with spicy cod roe, and Hokkaido sea urchin and a generous helping of mussels, which are well-loved Italian favourites reinterpreted with NOM’s signature twist.

NOM’s freshly baked handmade pizzas for all the family include oven-baked, traditional Roman-style pizzas made with flour sourced from a small family business in Italy’s Marche region, and topped with summer sweet Italian tomatoes and superior creamy buffalo mozzarella flown in fresh from Campania. The newly added Nduja and Friarielli Pizza will have friends and families fighting over the last slice, with toppings including a rich smoked buffalo mozzarella, spicy sausage, broccoli sprouts and organic provolone cheese. www.nom.com.hk/
