Niccolo Hotels to Re-Open Murray Building in Central

The Murray, a Niccolo Hotel, Hong Kong, formerly Murray Building, will open this October on Cotton Tree Drive in Central, offering business travellers sophisticated, urban accommodation in the heart of the city.

Transformed from the Murray Building, one of Hong Kong’s most iconic buildings, built in 1969 and located a short distance from Central’s business district, the new luxury hotel will offer 336 sophisticated spacious suites and guest rooms through 27 floors, each featuring floor to ceiling, uniquely recessed windows that allow abundant daylight, and surfaces covered with rare stones, leather, and textiles.

The Niccolo Room on the 25th level will be the city’s newest event space, which boasts a capacity to seat 240 guests and receptions for up to 350, in addition to the six meeting rooms featuring an abundance of natural light. The Arches, a semi-outdoor space that can accommodate up to 300 guests, is an architectural signature of the building, and boasts views of the city, Hong Kong Park, and Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens, making for an ideal venue for large-scale events and exhibitions.

The hotel will also offer premier wellness facilities and five destination restaurants and bars, including a rooftop bar with panoramic views.

Niccolo Hotels was recently recognised as the “Best Luxury Hotel Brand of the Year” at the 2016 Asia Hotel Awards. The first hotel under the brand, Niccolo Chengdu, which is located in the city’s International Finance Square (IFS), opened in April 2015 and has quickly been recognised as the city’s leading centre for luxury accommodation, fine dining, and events.
