New Venue to Draw Large Scale Events to the Hunter Valley

The widely‐anticipated Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley Conference & Events Centre has opened in the Hunter Valley, a popular wine producing region outside Sydney. The largest and most extensive business events venue in the Hunter region, the AU$6 million (US$4.7 million) 1,650-delegate capacity centre will appeal to both domestic and international meetings groups. Offering guests the latest technology and a light‐filled design in a state‐of‐the‐art venue with a combined 2,000 square metres of pre‐function, meeting and exhibition space, the event space is coupled with a unique wine country destination and is already drawing large scale event bookings for 2015 and 2016.

The Centre has been developed by the Schwartz Family Company (SFC) and provides the largest and most comprehensive regional conference and exhibition facility in New South Wales, and is designed to position the Hunter Valley as one of the key regional event destinations, competing with all major cities across Australia and New Zealand. The Centre will diversify the region’s current business events mix by drawing in larger event markets and industries into the region. www.crowneplazahuntervalley.com.au

What this means for event planners: Wine and golf lovers will enjoy meetings at this new centre, far from the crowds of the city yet easily accessible by highway, seaplane and even train.
