New French Restaurant and Bar Opens in Bangkok

Alex Brasserie restaurant and bar has opened in the vibrant capital of Thailand, offering an ideal dining spot for business travellers looking to savour authentic French cuisine and innovative cocktails after a long day at work.

Adding to the culinary scene of Sukhumvit Soi 11, the new 570sqm venue features intriguing industrial loft-style décor within a restaurant, a bar and a lounge, and offers indoor and outdoor seating that can accommodate up to 170 guests. Grey concrete and metal are complemented with warm wood and burgundy coloured leather, making for a relaxing yet stylish space for a meal or drink.

The eatery’s enticing menu, created by French chef Arnaud Drouvillé, includes authentic homemade dishes and creative fusion, made with locally made products or available imported products. Blending international cuisine and the Thai palate, chef Drouvillé’s signature dishes include the pizza beef carpaccio, inspired by the famous Morimoto’s tuna pizza; a restyled Vietnamese salad, with Thai spicy pork (Nam Tok Moo) stuffed spring-rolls; and beef short ribs, a 1.5kg serving of juicy red meat slowly cooked in vacuum for 48 hours with rosemary, salt, and pepper, and served with mustard, pickles, and berries. The menu will be renewed every three months.

Beyond, the bar offers a range of cocktails concocted by experienced bartenders, along with a selection of spirits, champagnes, wines as well as imported and local beers. Guests can immerse themselves in music by top local DJs from 9:30 pm to 1:30 am, with a drink in hand.
