New Flights to Canberra

Qatar Airways is the latest carrier to launch flights between Doha and Canberra, the capital city of Australia.

Qatar Airways will operate the daily Canberra service, via Sydney, with a Boeing B777 aircraft, featuring 42 flatbed seats in business class and 316 seats in economy.

Flight QR906 is scheduled to depart from Doha at 07:55 and arrive in Sydney at 06:25 +1. Flight QR906 will depart Sydney to Canberra at 07:25 to arrive at 08:35. From Canberra, QR907 is timed to depart at 13:45 and land in Sydney at 14:45. Flight QR907 will then depart Sydney at 15:55 and arrive back in Doha at 23:30.

“We are delighted to welcome Qatar Airways to Canberra Airport, the second international airline to come to Canberra,” says Stephen Byron, Canberra Airport managing director. “For the first time, Canberrans and around one million people living in our wider region will now have daily access to Qatar Airways’ global network of more than 150 destinations, via a short stopover in Sydney.”

With the airline launching a new daily service to Canberra, its fifth destination in Australia, the total cargo capacity out of the Australian continent has increased to more than 630 tonnes per week.
