Marriott Opens Element Foshan Nanhai

Element Hotels, part of Marriott International, has opened Element Foshan Nanhai, marking the debut of the eco-conscious, extended-stay brand in Guangdong, China.

Owned by Nanhai Weiming Properties Ltd., Element Foshan Nanhai offers guests experiences they need to thrive, from its cleverly designed spaces, which are eco-certified, to healthy alternatives and fitness programs that promote a balanced, active lifestyle while on the road.

“Element Foshan Nanhai is the second Element Hotel to open in Greater China with four more signed projects in the pipeline, appealing to a new generation of health-conscious guests,” says Mike Fulkerson, vice president, brand and marketing, Asia-Pacific, Marriot International. “It’s a fresh and vibrant brand that appeals to long-stay business travellers as well as the growing market of multi-generational family travelers in Asia. Having a kitchenette to prepare fresh meals and free bikes to borrow are great for families and active professionals, because time away from home shouldn’t mean time away from life.”

Element Hotels are built green from the ground up through the use of sustainable products and eco-driven practices. Element Foshan Nanhai features contemporary spaces lit by natural light including its 329 guestrooms designed with smart, ergonomic furnishings set in colors and textures drawn from nature. Rooms feature plush Heavenly Beds ensuring a comfortable night’s rest and are also equipped with energy-efficient kitchenettes as well as a spa-like bathroom featuring an invigorating rain shower and organic bath amenities. Further highlighting Element’s commitment to adopting environmentally friendly practices and reducing energy consumption, the hotel’s hot water supply is provided by air-source heat pumps.

To stay efficient and focused whilst traveling, each room is equipped with a workspace and there is complimentary high-speed internet access throughout all guestrooms and public spaces. There is also a cleverly designed 56sqm meeting space, for convenient conferences and gatherings.

Guests can start their day with a healthy Rise breakfast in the Salon restaurant and unwind by treating themselves to the delicious wines and bites during the Relax evening reception. The 24/7 self-serve pantry, Restore, offers a range of fresh produce and ingredients to prepare simple meals in your in-room kitchenette.

“These days, travelers are trying to stay healthy whilst on the road and it’s no exception in China,” says Jimmy Xue, general manager, Element Foshan Nanhai. “We give guests the option to maintain their fitness regime with a state-of-the-art fitness center open 24-hours a day, an indoor heated saline swimming pool, and a complimentary Bikes to Borrow program so guests can explore the nearby surroundings.”

Located in Shishan Town, the new Element Foshan Nanhai is situated across from the Shishan City Government office and the Nanhai Central Park is within walking distance, just 200 meters away. The large, verdant park is an ideal setting for leisure and equipped with diverse sports and fitness facilities open to the public. For a change of scenery, the hotel is a direct 40-minute drive from downtown Guangzhou, with easy access to Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport and Foshan Shadi Airport.

Following Element Suzhou Science and Technology Town, Asia Pacific’s first Element Hotel, Element Foshan Nanhai is the second Element hotel to open in Greater China. The brand will enter sought-after destinations with more hotels in the pipeline, including Element Chongli in ski resort town Zhangjiakou, beachside Element Sanya Haitang Bay in Sanya, Element Tianjin Beicheng in Tianjin, and Element Yinchuan Binhe in Ningxia.
