L’altro Launches New Summer Menu

L’altro, an Italian fine-dining restaurant in the heart of Central, has launched a new summer menu of Italian seasonal gastronomy with a twist of French haute cuisine, created by two Michelin-starred chef Philippe Léveillé, who will fly to Hong Kong from July 18 to 25.

Among new appetisers are #wanttobeatomato: scampi, mozzarella and tomato composition; wild fish carpaccio with colourful drippings; potatoes, salted zabajone and caviar; and sea urchins, quail eggs and ginger, served with lemongrass sauce.

The must-try main courses include lobster, watercress butter and crispy lobster – sago; and cold spaghetti with red prawn carpaccio and caviar. Guests should also round off their culinary experience with decadent desserts, such as sparkling water sorbet with fresh berries and arlettes.

Situated in the L place in Central, L’altro is the sister restaurant of two-Michelin star Miramonti L’altro in Brescia, Italy. With seating for 64, L’altro has two private function rooms that can accomodate up to 16 guests, perfect for business lunches and events. It also incorporates a bar with an extensive selection of hand-picked boutique wines. http://laltro.hk
