Ibis Brisbane Opens The Studio

ibis Brisbane has unveiled a trendy yet budget-friendly new event space, The Studio, offering business travellers a flexible new space for corporate events.

When it came to redesigning and refurbishing the hotel’s conferencing facilities, the team from ibis Brisbane set out to add elements of fun and to inject youthful energy. The results include a distinctive music-inspired mural wall by local artists The Brightsiders, and by another inspired by the iconic albums of the 80s and 90s, while the pre-function space features music videos which play all day to bring energy to break times.

The refurbishment of the existing meeting space also included the removal of frosting from windows to let in more natural light and allow delegates to enjoy urban city views.

The Studio is just one element of the new Meet ‘n’ Play concept from ibis Brisbane. The offering also allows meeting planners to select lunch menus that feature delicious favourites from ibis including Shimmy Shakes, Boomer Burger, and Hot Rockin’ Wings.

“The new-look meeting space at ibis Brisbane now reflects the hotel’s CBD location and offers a space that goes above and beyond the norm,” says Natasha du Plessis, director of Sales & Marketing. “We want our delegates to have productive meetings at ibis and we also want them to have fun. We have achieved this by allowing delegates to incorporate music, more natural light, and more delicious food options into their agenda.”

The Studio can accommodate guests in a range of different room configurations including 100 guests theatre style, all the way through to 30 guests boardroom style.
