Four Seasons Opens Hotel in Kyoto, Japan

Luxury five-star hospitality company, Four Seasons has opened its second hotel in Japan, Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto, offering business travellers in the city convenience and world-class services during their stay.

The hotel is located in a five-acre 12th century pond garden in the historic Higashiyama district, just moments from key business centres, and features 123 rooms and 57 Hotel Residences, expansive meeting, and a range of F&B outlets. Guest rooms designed by Hirsch Bedner Associates showcase views of the pond garden, Myoho-in Temple and surrounding neighbourhood.

Traditional elements such as shoji panels, locally crafted Kyoto-style fusuma screens, and urushi lacquerware are paired with modern at-one’s-fingertips technologies. Selected accommodations, including the 245sqm presidential suite, have balconies.

The Spa complex includes sauna, steam and whirlpool; a full-service beauty salon; and a state-of-the-art fitness centre. The Spa is grounded in the Japanese aesthetic of enso, connecting mind and body, with a menu of ceremonious rituals, results-oriented therapies, and indulgent journeys, which are performed by skilled therapists in one of seven treatment rooms.

The new Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto is the sister property of Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Marunouchi. The company also has plans for a third hotel in Japan, in Tokyo’s Otemachi business district. http://www.fourseasons.com/
