First Wyndham Hotel to Open in Perth

Wyndham Hotel Group expands its presence in Western Australia with Wyndham LUX Perth, its third hotel in the city, set to open in late 2018. The new hotel marks the group’s first for Perth under the company’s Wyndham brand, and offers business travellers a choice of luxury accommodation options and world-class amenities.

Located within six kilometres from the Perth CBD, Wyndham LUX Perth will offer 120 rooms with deluxe finishes. Facilities will include a swimming pool, a gym, meeting rooms, a restaurant and a rooftop bar with views of the Swan River.

Wyndham LUX Perth will become the fifth Wyndham location in Australia, joining those in Sydney, Melbourne, the Gold Coast and Torquay, Victoria.

“We’re strategically expanding our flagship Wyndham brand in capital cities like Perth where there is a low supply – but increasing demand – for upscale accommodations,” says Barry Robinson, president and managing director of Wyndham Hotel Group South East Asia and Pacific Rim. “Perth is a growing city visited by millions of interstate and international travellers every year, serving as the gateway to many tourist hotspots across Western Australia and Indonesia. We’ll continue to seek out the right opportunities to grow our presence in the region to offer travellers more options in leading business and leisure destinations.”

The company currently has 28 hotels open and operating in Australia under its Wyndham, Ramada and TRYP by Wyndham brands. The company’s portfolio is surging in South East Asia and the Pacific Rim, adding 27 hotels to its footprint in 2016 and recently celebrating its 100th hotel milestone in the region.
