First Innside by Melia Hotel Opens in China

Melia has expanded its Innside by Melia brand to China with the opening of a new hotel in Zhengzhou, capital of Henan province.

Located in the city’s Zhengdong New District, Innside by Melia Zhengzhou is the company’s fourth property to open in China, following the Gran Melia Xian, Melia Jinan, and Melia Shanghai Hongqiao.

The 335-room new-build hotel is located a three-minute walk from the Zhengzhou East Railway Station. An open-plan lobby design is complemented by Syndeo, the hotel’s all-day dining restaurant, which offers a variety of local and international dishes, and is transformed into a bar by night, allowing guests to savour signature cocktails while enjoying views of the city. The hotel also features complimentary wifi and a 24-hour fitness centre.

“Opening Innside by Melia Zhengzhou puts us in the very heart of a dynamic city and extends the momentum of Melia Hotels International in China,” says Bernardo Cabot Estarellas, senior vice president of Melia Hotels International Asia Pacific.

There are 18 Melia hotels currently in operation within the Asia Pacific region and the group is aiming to have over 40 hotels by 2022.
