Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay Unveils MICE Venues

Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay has opened a previously untapped area of Fiji to event planners, with over 1,500sqm of indoor and outdoor meeting and event spaces, providing corporates with another event venue option with pristine waters and a tranquil, relaxing ambiance.

Nestled on the white sand beaches of Momi Bay on Viti Levu’s southwest coast, and just 33 kilometres from Nadi International Airport, Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay is the only property on Fiji’s mainland to offer overwater accommodation.

Designed to appeal both to event planners and delegates alike, the tropical escape comprises a state-of-the-art event and conference centre, which features 1,100sqm of outdoor pre-function spaces set around a garden, and an Island Boardroom that can accommodate up to 55 people in theatre style.

With floor-to-ceiling glass windows and an abundance of natural light, the resort’s Grand Salon Ballroom can accommodate large events or conferences of up to 400 people in a theatre style, or split into three rooms for smaller groups.

The resort’s three outdoor event spaces include North Point, which caters to large cocktail events with panoramic ocean and lagoon views; Fish Bar, the resort’s fine-dining restaurant with a small garden; and Vonu Beach, which can accommodate over 500 guests.

The resort features 114 Bure Villas, including 22 overwater Bure Villas with decks from which guests can dive directly into the turquoise waters; and 136 interconnectable Deluxe Rooms, allowing for more flexibility.

“Our dedicated meetings and events venues have put this previously unknown area of Fiji on the map for meetings and event planners and the feedback we’ve received from the industry since opening has been overwhelmingly positive,” says Silvano Dressino, general manager, Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay. “Defined by its idyllic natural surroundings and its ease of access to Nadi International Airport, which offers daily flights from Australia, New Zealand, and the US, the resort is a new and exciting option for meetings and event planners looking for an exotic yet accessible location.”
