Cordis, Hong Kong Opens The Garage Bar

Cordis, Hong Kong at Langham Place has opened The Garage Bar, an outdoor food truck bar which offers business travellers the opportunity to enjoy the latest urban food culture experience in bustling Mongkok.

Located on level L, The Garage Bar boasts two vintage Citroën vans, one from 1966 and the other from 1972. Created by culinary director and chef Paul McLoughlin, the extensive menu features the Hongkongese Burger – a New Zealand steak burger in a bamboo charcoal pineapple bun (bolo bao) – crab & cheese melt sandwich; Ninja lobster roll with Boston lobster tempura; double dipped Italian beef sandwich; Iberico meatball sandwich; cripsy tofu caesar wrap; and the sweet churro cherries dulce, an all-time favourite churro banana split.

Appealing to beer enthusiasts, one of the trucks serves nearly 40 local and international craft beers from breweries such as Nine Dragons Brewery, Hong Kong Beer Co., Gweilo Beer, Moonzen Brewery, and Lion Rock Brewery. International labels include Brooklyn East IPA, Kaiju! Robohop Golden IPA, and De Molen Hop & Liefde. Guests may also order three different labels to create a personalised “beer flight”.

“Cordis, Hong Kong has always been devoted to providing the highest quality of dining experience to our guests,” says Shane Pateman, managing director of Cordis, Hong Kong. “So, to introduce a different side of American food culture for our guests, we have redesigned our outdoor patio as The Garage Bar.” www.cordishotels.com/en/hong-kong
