BLT Steak Relaunches in Hong Kong

BLT Steak Hong Kong, the city’s iconic steakhouse on the Victoria Harbour waterfront, has relaunched to present a new era of sophisticated, ingredient-driven dining after an extensive renovation, offering an ideal casual meeting venue with Hong Kong Island skyline, al fresco dining, and weekend brunches.

Boasting elegant new interiors by Australia-based in-house designer Anita Lopez, the refurbished BLT Steak, operated by Dining Concepts, is a contemporary rendition of the classic Big Apple steakhouse; finished with reclaimed timber, chocolate, and coffee-hued leather, antique mirrors and walnut floors, the restaurant’s beautifully-appointed dining room maintains elements of both a classic French bistro and the traditional steakhouse restaurants made famous in New York City.

In addition to the totally redesigned interior, the popular alfresco patio has expanded to cater for up to 28 diners, while providing some of the world’s most panoramic cityscapes, all matched with new menu designs.

As the name Bistro Laurent Tourondel suggests, at BLT Steak chef Tourondel presents his adaptation of the American Steakhouse, elevating this world-recognised concept with his signature flair, traditional French technique, and contemporary finesse. The former Bon Appetit Restaurateur of the Year, accompanied by his BLT US corporate chef Larry Baldwin, has introduced a selection of signature dishes to the menu at BLT Steak.

“I created BLT Steak as a modern steakhouse – one that focuses on the best product and the most exact techniques,” says chef Laurent. “That is the key for me, to keep it simple and wonderful.”

At the helm of newly-appointed executive chef A.J.Guido, BLT Steak’s menu includes the restaurant’s signature dishes, such as red wine braised short ribs and grilled spiny lobster, all accompanied by a selection of new dishes created by chef Tourondel that combine his French culinary precision with the finest locally and internationally-sourced ingredients. Dessert ends the meal with interpretations of classic American and French delights.
