BA Revamps On Business Scheme

British Airway’s revamped On Business corporate loyalty scheme can now earn triple points on their first six flights with BA, or on select routes with eligible partner airlines.

On Business is BA’s loyalty programme for small and medium-sized enterprises, and is fre to join. Promotional points and flights are available within the first 12 months of signing up.

Recent revamps have seen On Business has reward companies who spend more on tickets, rather than by distance flown. The revamped scheme combines the business loyalty programmes of BA, American Airlines and Iberia under the On Business umbrella.

On Business members can collect and redeem points on the three airlines, as well as Sun-Air and Comair, and BA codeshare routes operated by Japan Airlines, Qantas and US Airways. BA Executive Club and Iberia Plus members will also continue to earn Avios points.

On Business is has introduced three tiers, based on the amount spent on business flights each year.

Tier 1 has a spend threshold of up to GBP29,999 (USxxx) and earns one point per GBP1 (US$xxx) spent; Tier 2 applies to companies that spend between GBP 30,000 and GBP 299,000 per year, and earns 1.25 points per GBP1 (US$xxx) spent; the top tier, Tier 3, is for companies that spend more than GBP300,000 (US$xxx) on business trips each year, and earns 1.5 points per GBP1 (US$xxx) spent.

“We know it can be a struggle to make budgets stretch, so On Business enables small and medium-sized businesses to make the most of their travel expenditure by realising genuine benefits in terms of immediate discounts, reward flights and upgrades for their travelling staff across the partnership between British Airways, American Airlines and Iberia, enabling them to efficiently reach every corner of the globe through one scheme,” said BA’s CCO, Andrew Crawley. www.ba.com
