AirAsia Opens Airport Lounge at KLIA2

AirAsia, a Malaysian low-cost airline, opened The AirAsia Premium Red Lounge at Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (KLIA2), allowing business travellers the chance to enjoy 24-hour services and facilities such as wireless internet, workstations, and showers facilities.

The new lounge is located at the Mezzanine Level of the International Departure at KLIA2. The airline groups’ Premium Flatbed and Premium Flex guests will be able to enjoy complimentary access to the AirAsia Premium Red Lounge, while it is also available to all other guests at RM79 per person.

Spanning across a floor size of 302sqm with a mezzanine Sun Room overlooking the Skybridge and taxiway, the lounge will be part of the airline’s premium range of products including the Premium Flatbed and Premium Flex.

The AirAsia X Premium Flatbeds feature universal power sockets, adjustable headrests and built-in personal utilities such as tray table, drink holder, and privacy screen. Guests travelling on Premium Flatbeds can also enjoy premium complimentary products and services, including priority check-in, 40kg baggage allowance, and access to the AirAsia Premium Red Lounge.

“We receive a significant number of at least 5,000 transit guests per day who would find services such as the AirAsia Premium Red Lounge an added convenience and a plus point to their travelling experience. The lounge can accommodate up to 110 guests at any one time, and we look forward to serving all of the guests who will experience this when we open tomorrow,” says Datuk Kamarudin Meranun, executive chairman for AirAsia Berhad and group CEO for AirAsia X. www.airasia.com
