Air New Zealand to Increase Capacity on Vancouver Route

Air New Zealand will increase its Vancouver – Auckland operation by nearly 20 percent from January to July 2018, providing customers with greater choice and flexibility.

The New Zealand airline will start the increase by moving from seven to eight weekly services during the first half of January peak period, allowing for more flight options for travellers flying between the two major cities.

The current non-stop Air New Zealand Vancouver – Auckland route, operated daily with a Boeing 777-200, will grow with an extra 15,600 seats by increasing daily services beyond peak months of December and January into the shoulder season of February and increasing from four to five services a week in March and April, and from three to four weekly services during May to mid-June.

This Air New Zealand Boeing 777-200 aircraft features a four-class configuration with 26 flatbed Business Class seats, 40 Premium Economy seats, and 246 Economy seats. Economy Skycouch seats are available on this aircraft, featuring a row of three Economy Class seats that together create a flexible space for more inflight comfort.
