Air China to Launch Beijing-Athens Flights

Air China will launch a non-stop service between Beijing, China, and Athens, Greece, set to commence on September 30, 2017, offering business travellers direct connection between the two capital cities, with lesser travel time, as well as greater connectivity between destinations in Southern Europe and East Asia.

The new direct Air China Athens – Beijing service will be operated twice a week, on Wednesday and Saturdays, with an Airbus 330-200, reducing the journey time between Beijing and Athens to just 10.5 hours.

The outbound flight CA863 will depart Beijing at 02:30 to arrive in Athens at 08:15; return flight CI864 will depart Athens at 14:15 and arrive in the Chinese capital at 04:30 the next day. All times local.

Air China offers the largest selection of routes between China and Europe. The new Beijing-Athens service will bring the total number of routes to 26, with 300 flights per week to 19 major European destinations, including London, Paris, Frankfurt, Munich, Vienna, Rome, Moscow, Barcelona and Madrid, all serviced by a wide-body aircraft.
